Okurase: Portrait of a Village  was a social documentary project producing a body of imagery for PR and fund raising by Project Okurase, a  Ghana-based non-governmental organization (NGO).  The NGO's mission was to build a new, sustainable, model village center and infrastructure in the small village known for its hand-carved drums. The project was based on portraiture of villagers depicted in the context of daily activity and  presented as a collection of fine art canvases for display at the Medical University of South Carolina gallery.  Supportive HD video was also captured for multi-media use.

A  life-size portrait print of the village chief, along with 24x36" and 20x30" 12-color pigment prints imaged on archival canvas stretched, unframed, with black, gallery-wrapped edges were created and donated for exhibition, and fund raising.
